2008 Pro Squash Training Camp:

This is an opportunity to train with Canadian National Team members Shahier Razik and Matthew Giuffre, and former Canadian National Junior Champion Robin Clarke, under the watchful eye of internationally recognized squash coach Mike Way.  This camp is designed to demonstrate the speed, pressure, and requirements necessary to compete at the highest level in today’s rapidly evolving game.

The focus of this camp is to teach the next generation of top players how to train on and off the court. Emphasis will be focused towards condition games, drill sessions, and ‘pressure’ match play versus Canada’s top pros. Combined with squash specific off-court training and sport psychology.  The technical and tactical components of each will be reinforced.

This camp will be unique in that you will experience first hand the pressure and pace of squash at the pro level.  You will learn what methods Shahier, Matt, and Mike currently use in their training programs.  Our objective is for you to leave the camp with a greater appreciation of what squash at this level involves, and what your training program moving forward should include.  Our intention is to educate in a serious yet fun approach, of the ingredients necessary in order to successfully compete at a high level.

Program includes:

             Competitive/pressure simulation and analysis
             Endurance/power/strength/flexibility/injury prevention training methods
             Mental training
             Technical/tactical analysis
